Redundancy, estranged husband and training course

Hi
I am taking voluntary redundancy and will get approx £4500.00. I am a single parent and currently renting a property.
I wondered as the divorce hasnt yet been finalised would my ex be entitled to any of my settlement?
I would like to use my redundancy to train as a driving instructor which will take about £3000 of it so I wondered how this will affect any claim I may make and what I will be entitled to.
I want to try and find a part time job as well to fit around my children and training.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Sorry I do not know about the entitlement, but I would google drivinng instructor on these boards - training generally a rip off and damn all people can make a living from it especially in a recession. I would just hate to see you waste your payout on something that will not give you a living!Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
I confirm with the above. My mums neighbour spent thousands 'training' and is yet to turn a profit....0

Discuss with your solicitor. Seems unlikely if you're already living apart and have been for some time because it would not really be a fruit of the marriage.0
