need advice! pre-payment meters
Need a bit of advice about pre-payment meters. I've been with scottish power for nearly two years and want to change my gas and electricity meters to credit ones. Called them up and was told it would be £62 to replace my gas meter and £45 for my electricity one. Then on top of that I have to pay £150 which i'll get back if I stay in credit for 12 months. In the long run I know i'd benefit from the change but the initial outlay is steeper than I can afford. Any advice on how to cut the cost?

Try calling other suppliers. British Gas are often amenable to changing meters for no charge as long as a credit check is passed.0
