yet another ppi query

Hi all, Newbie hear so please excuse me if I sound daft.
About 12 years ago I was offered a Barclaycard (whilst unemployed) and have no idea as to whether ppi was included in the agreement. However I did manage to get into serious financial difficulties, and ended up £1000s indebt, which I am still paying off (with the help of my new partner) currently at the rate of £60 per month, and the ammount being reduced off the balance is now roughly equal to the ammount of interest being charged each month.
I only have statements going back 2 years, and there is no mention of anything remotley sounding like ppi on them so have no clue as to if I was paying ppi and its been removed in order to 'help' with my repayments
Any advice would be more than welcome, thanks in advance

If it was then it would have been on the statements each month as a payment. In plain sight to see.I only have statements going back 2 years, and there is no mention of anything remotley sounding like ppi on them so have no clue as to if I was paying ppi and its been removed in order to 'help' with my repayments
It is unlikely a card provider would cancel insurance without permission. It would leave them open to a liability (i.e. if you suffered a claimable event after they cancelled it they could be liable to pay out on the claim as they didnt have your permission).
