credit card help

hi

im woundering if anyone can help. In October 2011 my partner payed off her credit card IN FULL . a week later 1.27 pence got added as interest . As she was on paperless statements she didnt know till a letter came through the door in January demanding 1.87!! Of course we payed it straight away but our argument was about the her credit file getting hit. They said there is nothing they can do as they have to report the facts! Ive checked the credit file and it has 2 late payments under £1500. but what i cant understand is that her credit score is still 999 ? ?

They're right in that they have to report the facts. There's not much goodwill in CRA reporting.

Re the score being 999. It's almost as if the number isn't real, isn't it?

No. It's more that the scores are made up and don't reflect what any given lender is looking for. Ignore the score, and concentrate on the report itself. The late payments won't have so much of an impact in 12 months time, if all else is well.
