It is possible to have both but you won't be able to transfer balances between them or other MBNA partner cards (such as Play.com or Amazon cards).
Of course, another question is whether you would get two given that MBNA may already have given you the maximum limit they are prepared to provide to you.0 -
I once had 3 mnba cards at the same time.
