How to compare prices when your gas is via an independant gas transporter
Hi
hope someone can help me. I'm currently have my Gas / Electric via the EDF Online 8 Saver Tariff which expires at the end of March.
Ive been onto the energy helpline website to look for the cheapest new tariff and the best one was with 'first -utility' and even that was £66 a year more than what im currently paying.
Anyway , I registered, but today Ive been advised they are unable to supply my gas as my house is supplied gas via an independent gas transporter , and therefore they can not offer me any tariffs.
sooo, i'm back to square one, I was just going to pick the next supplier on the list, but I'm concerned that I'm not comparing the actual correct prices for my gas supply, as i'm sure each supplier charges different charges if your gas is via this method.
Is anyone aware of a comparison site that takes this into consideration ? or are aware of any suppliers / tariffs that are most suited to my circumstances. ( for info the next two suppliers on my initial search cost wise - were N Power and then Scottish Power)
Really not sure the best way to progress this, so any help to keep my costs down would be appreciated.

That was a lucky escape...There is no site that takes it into account you just have to find the charges and add them on yourself. Ignoring first as they can't afford to provide gas to IGT's and anyway the t's and c's of the tariff are awful...you did read them...:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.0 -
Only npower and e.on (of the big 6) charge extra for IGT0
