Hi
I need a bit of help , i have just started on ebay and have an item that i dont have a clue as to what price i should put it at. Mainly coz it is girls stuff an being a bloke am natrually useless when it comes to women lol
So heres what i am wanting to list please gimme an idea of what kind of price you think it is worth , many thanks
A girls Goody Bag Containing
6 pieces of childrens jewelery (2 rings , 3 pendants and a bangle)
about 20 hair accessories , bobbles and clips ect
notebook, address book and pen,
Angel keyring and a pocket angel
half a dozen mini packs of haribo
and a few other bits , colourful feathers, pretty glass pebble and a couple of tiny little fluff chicks lol
Also out of the 10 available i will be putting a Diamond ring into ONE bag nothing special Argos cheapest but a diamond none the less, so one lucky buyer will get an added bonus, what do you think of the idea and how much should i sell them for ???
Any help would be great
ooh and from a cost point of view as mot of the contents are old bits of stock i found they have cost me about £3.00 to make up
please give me some ideas so i can go an sort a listing out .... many thanks
Shaun

I'm not sure what market you are aiming at? Too dear for party bags and possibly limited apeal as a birthday or Easter gift.
With costume jewellery and girlie things available in Primark for peanuts you will have to sell at the cheaper end of the market to get sales and add to that your postage costs and I think you might struggle to make a realistic profit.
I was in Claire's accessories last weekend rummaging through their end of lines, managed to get hair items and beads plus a teeny magic sparkly wand and fluffy ears (for my neighbours daughters) plus a couple of gothy wrist straps (for my sons) and got change from a fiver. However, you might get better advice from other MSE'ers who buy for their own daughters and have more of a sense of what they would buy from ebay and for how much.
Also, don't do the diamond ring thing, ebay frown on any sort of 'competition' style listing, and since one lucky winner will get something extra I'm sure someone will complain.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. One other tip when setting a price, look at the actual end cost to the buyer including post and packing.
For instance, if someone suggests they would pay £7 for this goodie bag you need to take away the actual costs to see what profit you would make. So, from £7 you'll need to allow around £2 for actual costs of posting as a small packet plus secure wrapping. That takes you back to a final item price of £5. From that £5 you'll need to deduct listings costs, say 35p to include a gallery pic, FVFs, say 5p and paypal fees of around 30p. So for a buyer to pay a total of £7 you'll actually only make £1.30 profit.
If you work backwards from the 'price to the buyer' you can better estimate your optimum selling price.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you aren't really sure what price to sell them for, and you can't gauge a starting price from similar listings on completed items, why don't you just list one or two at 99p to start with and see what happens - that way if there's little or no interest then you haven't lost too much but you could be pleasantly surprised0

why are you putting a diamond ring in one of them ?
it's not likely to start frenzied bidding as people will have no idea of its style size or even if they'll get it0
