Tuesday 6th March - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:money:
Good morning everyone:j:j
Must be quick today...had a bit of a lie in - 7.10, wow:rotfl:
I'm feeling a bit better today - I felt rough at work yesterday:o Both of my 2 dds were off scholl last week with a bug that seems to be around - temperature, headache etc. I was shivering all day. But, I slept for 9 hours and don't feel quite so rubbish so off to work I go.
Spendaholic chick - hope your Nan is feeling better now, what a day you had:(
Right, must get my list down:
Have a great day:A

Hi all
Thanks for starting us all off pixie.
Have been away for a week or so..mainly for work reasons. It felt very strange and I have missed you!! (and the routine of logging about the MSE stuff..large and small..)
Anyway today I will:
- scour the freezer and meal plan for rest of week or more, maybe do one meal in the SC for later this week
- HM lunch (O&S from fridge I expect as long as we have bread)
- make a PAD (done)
- check banking (done)
- post off second lot of ebay sales. Its going well..has really been worth the effort
-put on jumper rather than heating even though in house all day
- enjoy the small things
Think thats it...

Good morning everyone!
+ Send off pension transfer forms
+ Print out free courier labels for buy-back DVDs
+ Buy cat medicine with money saved in the Pet Pot
+ Soup from freezer for lunch
+ Leftovers for dinner!
Something I have really got to work on is music. I have a ton on an external hard drive but when I fancy listening to something I have a terrible habit of buying it on iTunes - even though I already own it! Just because it's instant and easy from my phone and I can't be bothered to hook the hard drive up
Must stop doing this! I need my money more than the rock stars who've already had it once :rotfl: 0 -
Morning, made it here before midday today. I also had a lie in until 0710 - however I think everyone else did too as I still made it into work by 0815 - not sure where the traffic was this morning, but if they can all stay away that wold be great.
Today I will:
try and finish the grand master plan for work which means no opportunity for going out at lunchtime and spending
Food from stores
Charge phones at work
Panic that 2 staff members are off and will we cope (It's free so stress will make up for not being able to get to gym tonight)
Remember I have an IFA meeting to sort pensions accumulated from previous works tonight and so won't be able to attend gym but did walk Doglet already so not all bad.
Try and organise carpet fitters for Saturday for rented house

Morning everyone. Thanks for the thread Pixie.
Day off today for me and am feeling loads better (had nasty cold/flu bug thingy for the last week).
Got my wage slip from new job and the training and few hours work I got in last month isn't even going to cover what I owe on personal debts so won't have enough to pay rent, house bills or eat for the month! New pay date is the 7th of the month, payment for loan (£188) goes out on the 1st, will see if I can move it back for a start. Still have a bit left in savings but not enough!
Never mind, should sort itself out in the next couple of months.
Todays list:
Catch up on some washing and line dry.
Chase up a bit of holiday pay I am owed from one of my old jobs.
NSD.
