You cannot be made redundant in the Armed forces, you either sign off voulnteerly given a 1 years notice(depending what contract your serving) before 2010
Or only other reason would be if your injured or killed in action ...
    3 accounts taken 2000 / 2002 & 2009

    thanks

Tell that to the 12,000 military personnel they are going to make redundant by 2015

    ...Yawn;)

    Bored?

Or just annoyed because the good advice you are being given is not what you actually want to hear?

What would you prefer? Good advice or incorrect advice that at least strokes your ego?

Either way, no more advice from me to you. Bye :)

Presumably your claim is still in small claims, where there is little opportunity to apply costs.

Therefore, your loss (if you agree to discountinue) will almost certainly be restricted to the court costs which you have probably already paid out.

I haven't said the boxes was ticked by me !!!

And as the capital one representitive said (she stated that i ticked a box for PPI online application and that the PPI was then implemented to the account..)
Well I haven't ticked any box to say I need PPI, so as stated I'll wait for proof of application to arrive.

You probably work for capital one .....

    Cheers. Yawn;)

So when you got your statements showing debits for PPI, you never thought to yourself " hang on, i never agreed to this, why are they charging me " ?? But yet, suddenly, you decide you didn't agree to it ? Very strange indeed. :rotfl:

    meerkat who are you ???

Ive thought PPI was compulsory until recent where ive told about companies mis-selling and to check all my accounts !!! to which i have checked and posed the question where a check is due for 3 accounts in years of 2000. 2004. 2009 respectively.

:rotfl: all the way to the bank RESULT

    Hi howie,

for vanquis i just sent a data protection request (without the £10 fee!!!) for deteails on my charges and within a week they sent me a letter with an offer and a choice to close my account or pay a £25 per year fee on the card. The offer was around what i was owed so i accepted it but 2 months on i still have not received the cheque so i have had to sent another letter to try and speed them up.
Capital 1 only offered me the difference between the £12 and what they charged, the amount cleared my account so i took it.

    Hope this is of help

    Flopper

    Hi Flopper

Just an update, ive just recieved the same letter offering a cheque from vanquis :D and 2 options
option 1 - staing a statndard fixed fee for the whole year with a cheque. OR
option 2 - the total will go toward Paying off the remainder of my account and then it will be closed.
I havent decided as yet on whats best....

    Cheers:)
