Turnaround times for the Financial Ombudsman Service?

I presume that the FOS is overwhelmed with cases in respect of PPI.
However, can someone advise the current expected time for the FOS to consider a case and come to a conclusion?
Thanks

some of mine took 2.5 years for PPI and have a home insurance complaint ongoing at the moment for nearly 4 years which was 'fast tracked' over a year ago and still awaiting a final decision.
and i've had many decisions which show how 'NOT' professional they really are ....0 -
Mine's just taken 6 months from complaint to being upheld. However the upheld letter contained errors regarding my complaint. The FOS have said it's fine and to now wait for the bank to make their offer but I won't believe it until the cheque's appeared and cleared. Previous one took just under a year but the bank then took another 6 months to actually pay up.0

Is the plural not cocks up?
Well, if sending me a nonexistent settlement offer from my bank & PPI provider does not count as somewhat of a cockup then I don't know what does.
I'm sure they are "professional" at the FOS, yet that doesn't mean that mistakes aren't and haven't been made.:www: Progress Report :www:
