Hi,

I have to pay £5000 for my accommodation at university this year. If I took out this credit card and paid these would I get 5% cashback?

Thanks

If you can pay with a credit card then yes, sort of - you can only earn a max of £100 cashback during the 5% period, so would earn cashback on £2,000 of it. However, I would be surprised if you were accepted as a student - they are looking for a perfect credit rating and a salary of £20,000 or more.

Believe me there is Uni accommodation at £5k per year! Remember this includes all bills - heating, water, etc. Some even include food if you have catered option! Only thing is not all Uni's allow to pay with a credit card.

OP - if you are having to use a credit card to pay your accommodation fees, unless you are stoozing the cash, you need to look at your budget urgently to ensure you can afford not only the fees, but all of the other associated costs.
