Ryanair email confirmation?

Do Ryanair still send email confirmation after booking??

I only ask because when I tried to booking some flights last night, I got some kind of weird error saying "runtime error" or something like that. (This was at the point of pressing the "pay now" button at the final step!). So I waited a few miinutes to see if I got an email confirmation of the booking. This didn't come so I figured it didn't go through, and I restarted the booking process. The 2nd time, it all went through fine and I got to the confirmation page with the booking reference (which I of course printed out), but I still haven't received email confirmation.

I'm just hoping I haven't been billed twice! Is there any way of requesting email confirmation? Although I guess this won't tell me if my first attempt went through or not?

Any help would be much appreciated.

As you've got the confirmation number(s) check your booking(s) on the Ryanair website
  • Normally comes through straight away, mine did.

Funny that - I booked last week and didn't get an e-mail confirmation? I printed off the confirmed page so not so worried about it.

Id check with your card provider Herman, just in case. There was an article in the Mail about a similar situation. Customer ended up with 2 identicle bookings. Had to write to Ryanair head office to get a refund

The e-mail confirmations from Ryanair are taking ages to come through these days - sometimes 24 hours.

I booked a Ryanair flight last week and didn't receive the Email confirmation for about 12 hours. There was no problem with the booking, it just took a while for the Email to come through.

It has been about 24 hours now, and still no email confirmation. Have checked my booking on the website, and I am not at all worried about flying as I have the booking reference etc. I'm just concerned about being charged twice as my 1st attempt didn't seem to go through, but there's no way of checking this on the website as I didn't get a booking reference for this attempt! (If all that makes sense?!).

But yes, will check with my credit card company in the morning.

Was wondering what my options are if I have indeed been charged twice?
  • One other option that people need to be aware of is the mistyped email address on the booking form. My grandad suffered all kinds of confusion last week after getting an email confirmation for a SAS flight to Copenhagen with a man he'd never heard of. It turned out his namesake had accidentally put in .co.uk instead of .com when making the booking.

On the subject of Ryanair double bookings they screwed me on this about 7-8 years ago. After the first booking had a website error the cheap flight disappeared and we booked the Saturday morning instead of the Friday night. They refused to refund us on the grounds that it wasn't the same flight. It was pretty obvious we didn't need a Friday evening and early Saturday morning flight but they refused anyway.

If you do get billed twice you have the option of reporting it to your bank/credit card company and they will claim the money back for you.

Thanks to all those that replied. I checked with my credit card company today, and fortunately I have only been charged once.

    Panic over!
