Barclaycard gold credit limit

Hi i applied for a barclaycard gold credit card which was accepted a few days ago, within the application i applied for 2 balance transfers at a total of £2300.
I just called barclaycard 15 mins ago asking if the balance transfers are accepted and what my credit limit would be as i dont want the card if the balance transfers are rejected as i already had the initial card which i paid off and closed a few months ago due to the £750 limit which they refused to budge on.
The gentleman which i couldnt understand due to a very heavy foreign accent basically just said wait until the card comes in the post and the letter will tell you what you need to know about the transfer and limit. This is quite annoying as basically im taking a gamble wither a get what i requested or could be stuck with a useless card, surely there should be an option to let you bail out if the card is not "fit for purpose"?
Are there other users here that have experienced this scenario and is there a different way i should have approached this for future purposes?
Thanks for reading

I had this with Mint, where they refused to tell me my credit limit before I sent back the agreement, so I didnt send back the agreement. Waste of a credit search, but I didnt want my time wasted.:xmastree:POMDB Xmas 2013 Board - Paid off £12k in 2012 :j:j :xmastree:

I'm sure there is a "cooling off" period Sidey from the date when they opened the account for you.
Refer to your T+Cs or Credit Agreement would be my advice

Did you not get an instant decision online?
When i applied it said i have been successful and the card will be with me within 5 working days, however it never said what my limit would be or if my balance transfers will be processed.
I applied for the marriots credit card back in january online and i got the instant successful decision with the credit amount that was allocated to me, i wish all credit cards would follow suit
