Cheap Thai grocery store in London (NOT restaurants!) ;-)

Just to add a few of my own... I found a few thai specialised shops by doing some more detailed internet research and came up with the following, which I hope to visit in time:

1. Amaranth Thai Market, 348 Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, London SW18 4ES, 020 8871 3466 "wide range of thai groceries and ingredients" (I forget which site advertised this one)

Thai Smile I visited yesterday, found everything I wanted, and despite being reasonably central was surprisingly well priced.

Example:
5k bag thai sticky rice (or jasmine rice) £5.25
10k bag thai rice £8-something
200g packet tamarind (lasts up to 1 year in fridge?) - 50p

I reckon, even if I ate rice every day, the 5k bag would last me about 3-6 months.

I haven’t visited the other yet, so can’t say for sure (one I phoned didn’t appear to be in operation, but it could just be a language thing)

Siam Market http://www.siam-market.co.uk is quite cheap. They sell fresh stuff and I've found their quality to be excellent. I think they have started selling items such as rice etc as well.
