help and advice needed please!

Hello,

I recently booked a journey with the trainline.com and once i recieved my confirmation email i realised it had a different date to the one i had booked, so i rang up the company to speak to some one and a spoke to a helpful lady who changed my ticket to the correct date and told me i would be immeidiatly refunded. So when i got a letter from the bank saying i am now being charged £30 for being overdrawn because of one of their errors i rang back up the trainline. I spoke to a bloke who told me a refund takes 10 days ( not what i was told) i explained to him what i was told and he shouted your not listening to me and i simply told him to not shout at me he put me on hold and i said to my friend this is a joke and he then answered again and said what did you say about me i said nothing and he just put the phone down on me!

does anyone have any advice of what to do now? As i believe this is disgusting behaviour!

Sorry about the long essay!

Thanks

I agree this is not acceptable behaviour for customer services of any company. I would call again and ask to be refered to a supervisor/manager and expalin the situation to them in a calm, rational manner. Shame you did not get the name of the man you spoke to.
  • I've recently lost my day return trainfare to trainline.com as a result of entering the wrong date on their website (30th Jan instead of 31st!).
I only found this out when I couldn't get through the Cardiff Central ticket barrier. A helpful guard came and looked at my ticket as I struggled for my specs and suggested I try the ticket booth. This I quickly did as my train was about to leave. I naively asked for my trainline.com ticket to be exchanged. "Sorry sir, you will have to buy a new ticket - thetrainline.com is a different company and nothing to do with us". What really hurt was the fact that I paid £1 less for this ticket at the station than I paid a week in advance to the trainline.com ie booking in advance was no cheaper, as I had assumed. My fare was £10 (the price trainline.com charge for refunds!) but as a previously loyal sucker I mean customer I have written to them. They haven't replied.
I will never use these crooks again.
