Is this a lot of Gas use?

Had a bloke from the gas company round today wanting to know if we had had a sudden jump in our gas usage as people had been complaining on the street. Hadn't seen the bill before so said I wasn't sure but have now seen the useage statement we've got and I have no idea if it is a lot or not.

Background: two of us, heating on for a few hours in the morning then from 5-10pm. Heating is also on Saturday, Sunday and two days in the week if it's cold when I'm home on my days off. Thermostat at 20 most of the time. Only use gas for water heating and GCH. We each have a shower a day. Live in the north, in a 2 bed terraced house.

Is this a lot? This is the first time either of us had had utility bills so we just assumed it was ok usage but the gas guy has got us thinking.

Agreed...It would make many families quite jealous. Especially with a couple of showers each day in summer and only 7/8kWh of gas per day. Very good.

The cynic in me says your account is about to get slammed, look out for letters from your supplier or another one in the post shortly. May be worth phoning your supplier to tell them you have not signed up to another company and put a note on your file.
