I've got a D500 and the screen has broken. Not sure how or exactly what is happened but i can only just about see the very bottom of it. I would buy a new phone but I can't see the screen properly to get stuff of it. Any suggestions of ways to fix/look at the screen another way/where to get it fixed would be much appreciated.

didn't you get a cable with it to connect it to a PC? If you did you could just download the Samsung PC Studio software to your PC and then connect your phone and copy everything off it. Then there's no risk to your info while it's repaired.
Or if you know someone with a cable you could just borrow there's if you don't have one. It's my problem, it's my problem

Bill, I've got a cable now. Where do I download the studio from and does it allow you to just download everything from the phone or do you need to be able to see the phones screen to select what you send?0

Sony Ericson T68 but I do enjoy fixing fidly things so I found this very easy, but I would suggest given a little care it is a job almost any monkey can do
Make sure you have the right tools and you have a good idea how to get into the phone without forcing things (look for guides on the net if unsure) and you are away!0 -

Apologies for the delay, you can download the software from the Samsung site
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/productsupport/download/FileView.aspx?cttfileid=431075&type=Mobile+Phone&typecode=18&subtype=Mobile+Phone&subtypecode=&cmssubtypecode=1805&model=SGH-D600&filetype=SW&language=
Once it's installed, connect your phone via the cable, start the software and it should recognise your phone is connected. Then double click on transfer files and you should be able to copy everything off your phone. You don't need the screen on your phone for this as everything is done via the PC.
It's useful even if you don't have problems with your phone as you can manage your files much more easily, send texts using your PC keyboard, create your own ring tones and upload them etc. It's my problem, it's my problem
