Car Insurance
I am wondering about this car insurance lark.
I passed my test 4 years ago and had been insured for a year on my own car whilst learning.
anyway my insurance rose once I had passed but not by much, about £80 or so
Then I bought a newer car and it went up by about another £100 or so.
since then each year it has Risen by about £100 a year - and thats after exhausting all of the comparrison sites etc.
whats going on, I thought they said it drops when you have more no claims?
all mine has done since passing my test is go up and up and up. looking at renewals and already its gone up again from last year by about another £100.
In 2008 I was paying about £30 a month insurance - its now more like £70 a month - next year more ??
Im confused is everyone having this problem.

It cost me at age 17 £100 to insure a 3.5 litre V8. Move on 24 years. It costs me £250 to insure a 2L Ford Mondeo and thats with two decades NCB.
Insurance is only going to go one way - up. For many people they're seeing a 20-30% increase on renewal.
Blame the personal injury claims.0 -
