Hi
Im looking at buying a car that I found on autotrader but the person selling the car lives in spain. She has a contract with a logistic company based in spain. The company website is
htt
p://w
ww.
liborio-logistic
.com/index.php
Does anyone know if or how to find out if this company is real because they want me to send £3500 via bank transfer for a 60 plate 1.6 diesel fiesta. Very nice car going very cheap which makes me think is this company real? What do you lot think?

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
DNS lookup shows that domain is registered to an address in the Bahamas.

I realise that some people are naive but common sense screams that there is something hookie about selling a second hand car based in Spain at UK prices with the seller willing to pay shippingThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. They have a live chat on their website. I said I would like to send my car to spain via you and they said to me sorry we dont transport cars so I said to them so how am I going to get my ford fiesta sent to me? They send to me we only ship from spain to the uk so I said can you prove to me your a real company? They said are you serious!? and banned me from the live chat
hahaha0 -
It's amazing how many people fall for this stuff though.

Beware with autotrader. Just looked at another fiesta 60 plate £11000 but they wanted to go through the same logistic company and the phone number on the autotrader ad dosent exist.0

Be careful with any company or person really, as mentioned above 'if it's too good to be true it probably is' is generally the best way to approach any type of sales really. I certainly wouldn't be buying a car I couldn't see and check out first and any cars cheaper than they should be set off alarm bells. The scam cars on Autotrader can usually be spotted a mile off as it will be a desirable with good spec and mileage in great condition but well under the price it should be.

Only ship one way? Surely it would be more efficient, and thus more profitable, to collect some UK cars to bring to spain on the return journey, since their trucks (or boats or whatever) are going to have to come back anyway.

Now that we're clear it's a scam. Any chance of a link, purely for entertainment purposes.

Maybe its a one way shipping lane?
I've been looking on Autotrader a lot lately and there are so many scams. They are usually the top search too and come in at less than half the price the car is worth, with top spec and very low mileage.Total scumbags.0 -
Anything that is advertised as a UK car but either the car is overseas or the seller is suddenly offshore for work (they can be on oil rigs and all sorts) is to be taken with a pinch of salt.
If it then progresses to bank transfer, and "I'll pay the shipping" then run, don't walk, away. eFence is littered with these scams too.
