AA Home Emergency Cover - Would you bother?

Hello
I took out AA Buildings Insurance last week, since then they keep ringing me asking me to take out the home emergency cover at £5.99 per month.
Apparently it covers call outs for plumbing, wasps nests etc
Anyway they are ring back tomorrow, so I was wondering if anyone had any experience of having used the cover and what it was like - I am a bit dubious about insurance and feel the small print usually covers them against paying out for anything!
Thank you

    NO.......
    http://www.theaa.com/insurance/pdf/home-emergency-response-policy-booklet-february-2012.pdf

now its only emergency, only guarantee is temporary repair.

ie if you have 2 toilets, one is broke, the other is working they wont come out

lights workin upstairs not downstairs they WONT come out. you have to have no power at all.....

    look at the windows cover:

    A
home emergency relating to broken and

    cracked windows
    We

may undertake a temporary repair using

boarding or similar material to resolve the
    immediate

    home emergency.

    We

will always try to complete a permanent

repair where it is as cost effective as a
temporary repair and it is possible at first

    attendance.
Now, its always cheaper to board a window than repair it, and glazers dont just come out and fit a window witout measuring the glass, going away and getting it cut.
so the window will never be replaced.
read read read...... the link is above!
Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?

You could probably get similar as part of a fee paying bank account (£10 a month or more rolling in breakdown cover, holiday insurance and mobile phone cover).

Or for about £4 a month as an addition to a typical home contents policy.
