Plus a Tech2 attempt didn't work either! They advised a new DPF - as they would.:cool:
"the wrong kinda car for our normal use of car!" But as long as it has a good regular blow out at highish revs and speed it should be fine.
My small Diesel car only does 5-10 miles local rural runs usually and some longer motorway stuff but I give it a reasonable thrash at 3000rev/min (4th gear at about 65mph) for 15 minutes, when fully warmed up, on a dual carriageway just to keep the DPF good.
I will be reverting to a petrol car next as a modern over complicated Diesel is really not suitable for my needs.

first give a good run on dual carriage way see if that solves it, when #i say good run I mean doing more then 2000rpm in 5th like 4000 in 4th you need to get the exhaust gasses really hot to get the filter to regenerate. if it still on then it means that the pf system is not regenarting. you might also need to clear the code
