Leaving negative feedback at the last possible moment!

Being an old codger I was trying to be clever about leaving a negative.
Not really a big ebayer, but I do have an impeccable record and go out of my way to preserve it.
I sold an item back in November and it was won by the dreaded zero rated, recently joined up ebay newbie!
Despite emails promising me that she had sent payment, none was ever recieved. I gave her 3 months to pay - not a penny!
I worked out that today at 9pm, the 90 days to leave feedback would end (Im sad and twisted) but being an old git, I missed it cos I fell asleep in front of the tv!
However, at 9.40 I was still able to leave a neg!
How was it possible???? Surely Ive gone over the 90 day window?

Just an initial thought (I don't know for sure) but maybe it's 90 days ending at the end of the day (ie midnight) rather than from the exact time of the end of the auction? If so, might even be to the end of the day in US time.0

Apparently it is sometimes possible to leave feedback even after 90 days. This is why people who know this will warn you that even if you leave a neg at the last minute, it doesnt guarantee that you won't get a neg in return.0 -
Oh no!!!! thats my fear! I never leave negs but this cust really took the biscuit!ee bye gum0

doesnt matter if you are trying to leave feedback at the last minute as ebay give the other party 90 days to respond to your feeedback. so they still will have time to leave neg for you too"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0

If somebody deserves a negative you should leave it to act as a warning to other ebayers. Trying to leave it at the last possible moment sounds like cowardice.
Just to reassure some of you I have left 13 negatives over the past 7 years. Because they were justified I've never had one back. Can I help?0 -
i keep a record of who i havent left me feedback for since they didnt for me, and my oldest one is 15th August and the next oldest is 23rd October. I can still leave feedback for both. so the 90days is not 100% true, since its been over 180 days.0

The 90 days is not strictly true, it is merely an arbitary cut off when the simple mechanism for leaving feedback disappears. My one and only neg on a secondary account was left 5 months after auction end.

ive no idea how you managed that.
ive given out 3 negs. (in approx 200 deals) all were justified.
one was for non delivery of the item (chap was banned soon after), and the other 2 were left in return, for morons who left completely unjustified negs for me.Get some gorm.0
