Very plausible if you are expecting something.

Strangely I got one of these last night, the e-mail address they used for me was one that has only been used with BuyTech. So I guess they got hacked or they sold on the e-mail address.

I appears to me that the service providers do very little to close down these phishing scams.

FedEx will not ship for free and expect the final customer to hope to pay for delivery. The sender will have already paid FedEex for delivery. If the sender cannot ship for any reason, they should be the ones contacting you, not the courier.

This is a hoax email and should be deleted.

If you are unsure, go to http://www.fedexuk.net/accounts/depotfinder.aspx and enter your postcode for your local depot. Telephone or email them asking if there is a parcel for you.

    Some do.

When I first joined Plusnet I got about 7 junk mail messages per day. Over a year or so this went up to around 12. Then they introduced filtering and now I get around 1 every 2-3 months.

Interestingly, the last one I got was the Fed Ex one a couple of days after you started this thread.

I use hotmail, their filtering system seems very ineffective :(

I got one of these too, also through hotmail.

I also received a Paypal phishing scam email the other day - unusually in my Gmail account. Normally Gmail are very good (a lot better than hotmail!) at making sure these don't go into my inbox. So be aware there's a paypal one going round at the moment too. The fact that the image is skewed and the email address has nothing from paypal in it are a dead giveaway. Report straight away!

Yes I have got a few Fed Ex ones recently,Paypal every bank known and Parcelforce Royal Mail. The latter usually telling they could not deliver said item because the address was damaged. So how the !!!! did they manage to find my email I thought. :rotfl:

All hotmail, I sweep and block them and then more pop up a few weeks later again.
