Cavity wall tie survey and possible replacement

Hi All,

i ahve been advised to have a cavity wall tie survey done on my 1950's house. to see if they need replacing.

is there a way of making sure i get a propoer survey, by a good quality company, (is there a master builder scheme for wall ties?) and how do i check what the contractor says if he recommend replacement is correct??

then i i need them done what should i look out for? 4 bed house so i asume will be of some cost if all need replacing? would just some need replacing south face wall?

I would get the survey done by someone who does not fix the problem. You would have to pay. Probably a RICS member is one place to start.
