phoning bank to ask if elegible for ppi refund

If I was the phone my bank or credit card company to ask if I had missold ppi that I could claik back, how would I know they would tell me the truth they might just say no! And what do I say...how would I ask them when i phone up???

    I would say
    "Can you put me through to the department which deals with PPI? I have loans with this branch dating from ... and I'd like you confirm whether payment protection insurance was taken with them"

    Unfortunately, the bank will not tell you whether you can "claim back", because any reasons you have for complaint must be your own!

    Have a read through the guide, this will help you work out whether your PPI might have been missold.

    In order to make a complaint, you need to explain to the bank WHY you feel the PPI was missold.
