External Hard Drive not showing

When I opened my external hard drive on my computer, it showed it empty, despite it saying the correct memory taken (about 150 gb) so I restarted, and it's not not showing at all, I tried swapping USBs etc.. but not showing at all.
The light on it is on, and it's only a couple of months old.
Any help?

Do you mean "it shows it empty" in the sense "it shows the drive but no files on it"?0
-
If you type Windows key+R (to get the "Run" dialog), type in compmgmt.msc, and in here select "Disk Management", is the drive in the list at all?0

or you could right click My Computer and click Manage0

Fixed it, USB in drive wasn't in properly. Thanks all.0
