Barclays?

A few years ago I had 2 barclays accounts with overdrafts on them, one was £200 and the other was £1800  I was unemployed at the time I was given these overdrafts and dumb enough to accept them!
The money mostly went on paying rent / bills / food! But I also had to pay PPI on them.
I never knew at the time that I shouldn't be paying for this, I thought it was good to have it just in case!
My bank accounts were closed 5 years ago as I was over the overdrafts repeatedly and I couldn't afford to pay them off! (I'm still repaying now!)
Would I be able to claim this PPI money back? I have a feeling if I get it back it would pay off the rest of what I owe on the 2 accounts and I would probably have some left over!
Thanks in advance!
