Out of interest why do they take so long to phone. I applied for a job on 9th jan and only just had a phone call anyone know why? Is it possible someone started then left?0

HIgh staff turnover - not a good sign.
If you see a job you like on NHS jobs, forget the "closing date", apply as soon as you see it - they often close on the day when they are advertised (despita stating closing date say in 2 weeks time) as they limit to say 50 applicatins and close the vacancy when they receive that many.0 -
What JSA money? I have too much savings.
Now, that's fair enough: I saved for a rainy day and it's started raining. Yes, I also paid my NI, but that was for anyone who needed it, not necessarily me.
But ... when my savings drop to below the permitted level. I still won't get any JSA, as I will then be regarded as having disposed of my savings, in order to get JSA.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
These companies don't think there must be people applying all the time and notice that they can't keep staff![/QUOTE]
what do you mean do you mean its possible that you are being called because they took someone on and it didnt last?:footie:0 -

I am not being called at all. I am saying I see jobs advertised then three months later that are advertised again and then 5 months later they are adertised again and then the other say I saw the same job again! I know it's the same job as it's a stand alone role in the company and all the times I have applied I have not been shortlisted. Either the company is a bad one to work for, the staff taken on are no good or they as a company are a bad judge. Whatever it may be it looks so bad.
There was even a job I was interviewed for last year and she said to me "oh I see you have applied to us before" (for a part time role) & I replied "yes, but you never shortlisted me then, I don't know why", she just gave a nervous "oh" as the answer.0 -
I think the quotes have gone wrong. What i meant was if i get a call today about a job i applied for on 9th january does it mean someone took it on and left??? Now they are calling round other people??:footie:0
