If you mean the fancy animated graphics, then no. LCDs don't suffer from burn-in like CRTs did (or plasma screens do).
However, you can save battery life by setting the screen to turn off completely after a pre-set period when running on battery.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
