Another Egg Claim :(

Hi all,

I have just noticed on my Barclaycard statement that I'm paying repayment protection on my card. I've traced the payments back to my Egg card, since Egg doesn't exist any more how do I go about re-claiming all those past payments from my bank. I cannot remember when I took out the card.. I have never taken any sort of PPI on any past or present cards that I've had - which makes me think that there is something fishy going on here..

I have downloaded the form for the Ombudsman. Who do I contact with regards to cancelling it..

What rights do I have as I really don't recall asking for it :mad:

You have to send your questionnaire to Barclaycard and state on it that it was originally an Egg card. Lodging a complaint normally cancels the PPI straight away. Just state your reasons for mis sell and the Barclaycard number and see what they come back with. Dig out any or all statements you can find especially ones from when it was with Egg and you could photocopy them and send with the questionnaire, the more you can provide the better as sometimes if they don't have enough to make a full offer they make a gesture of goodwill, unless you can provide more evidence for them to take into account. Send it all recorded delivery and keep copies of everything Good luck

As far as I remeber an Egg account was done online, I have gone through my old emails and all my egg statements are empty. This must have been done when Egg transferred to Barclays. Therefore I dont have any statements?

Just do the complaint and see what comes back.
