a Scanning quickly

Hi, I have an all in one printer copier scanner and am trying to scan some notebooks I have kept over the past ten years or so.
Is there any way of doing this quickly? Each page takes a while to scan and each page goes into a separate document on my laptop rather than just one document. Is there any way around this?

As above, this will depend on make/model, but in some cases if you set the scanning resolution (usually expressed in DPI) to a lower value it will be quicker.
But obviously check the resulting image to make sure it's still good enough to read!0 -
Scanners usually have the option to scan in as "TIFF" this allows multi-page tiff's
Tiff's allows the adding of "tags" and other information to the file.Laters
