ford focus radio code

had to get my gearbox replaced so they had to disconnect the battery. i dont have my stereo working now. halfords said i need the code from my handbook but i dont have a handbook with it.
emailed where i bought the car from and they said take the stereo out to get the code yet u cant take the stereo out.
can anybody tell me where i can find the serial number to retrieve the code? it is a ford focus!

Have a look in the Ford Codes sticky at the top of this forum.

when i opened the glove compartment there was a serial number which was v229551.
is that the serial number that i need for the stereo?
its a 6000 cd

No - the code for the radio will be 4 digits.

When you have it, keep pressing the no. 1 button on the front of the radio until it matches the first digit of the code, then repeat on buttons 2, 3 & 4.

When you have entered the correct code, press button 5 to enter the code and the radio should work from then.

As for taking the radio out, I haven't needed to, however there are two small holes at either end of the radio, you should be able to pick up a tool at Halfords (or the like) which when inserted allow you to pull the radio out (if you search on youtube, I am sure I have seen a video on there showing this very thing).

Unfortunately even if you posted a request in the right thread ..... Ford radio codes for free , you would be disappointed.
V codes are not available anywhere on the web for free.

Take it , the code was with the s/n ?
