How is mortgage PPI calculated
daybow
Hi all this is my first post but could do with some with picking some brains.
I sent in a claim for a missold Halifax mortgage PPI about 8 wks ago.
2 days ago we received a letter with the offer then in the same post was another letter with the cheque in.
How is this calculated out?
I want to check the amount is sufficient before banking the cheque.
I have been paying between £15 and £20 per month for 20 years.
Any help appreciated. thanks

So a cheque for £2500 doesnt quite cut the mustard then!!!!!
The annoying thing is that the offer letter was supposed to have been dispatched on 17/2 but arrives on 03/02.
Should i now not bank the cheque and get on the phone.0 -
Halifax's "product" is one that placed life assurance, critical illness, PHI and PPI all in one "product". So, it is possible that they are refunding on the PPI side but not the others (assuming you had the others and havent complained about those)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
