Car booty - average prices for CD/DVD

Hey everyone!
My boyfriend and I sorted through our CD & DVD collections yesterday and I'm currently researching each item to see whether it's best to sell on ebay, zapper or save for a car boot. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the average going rate for CDs and DVDs is at a car boot these days? We're in South Wales if that helps.
We also have a LOT of CD singles... is there much point taking them to the car boot?

It does depend on areas. Here in London around 50p for a DVD and barely nothing, maybe 10-20p for a CD single. a few pence more for a CD album.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. £1 a DVD. £2-3 if Disney.
I sold 125 at last car boot- all at £1 each. Yorkshire.June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving
July challenge £50 a day. £ 1682.50/1550
October challenge £100 a day. £385/£31000 -
I would say at least a £1.00 for a dvd or cd album and probably 50p or less for a cd single.0

Last time I did a carboot sale (probably a year and a half ago) I was easily selling DVD's and CD's fat £1 each and people only haggled when they bought several in one go. At one of the carboots I go to to buy stuff, there's a guy with a whole van full of DVD's and some of them are up to a fiver each (used).

First and foremost have a look on ebay to see if any of the DVDs or CDs are selling for more than £1.
You want to get £1 for a DVD so price them at £1.50 and let people haggle.
CD albums £1 each for good ones and 50p each if you have any boot sale/charity shop regulars like Kula Shaker, Atomic Kitten, Busted, S Club 7, M People, etc.
CD singles again 50p for good ones or 20p for any regulars.0 -
DVD - £1.00
CD - 50p
CD singles, I probably wouldn't bother taking them tbh.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Majority of CD Singles are mainly worthless, so worthless that some charity shops in this area refuse to take them in. But have a couple hours on Amazon checking the bar-codes to see if you've got a rare gem within the pile, some of those gems go for some good money (£5 +, but you could be sitting around for a while waiting for that buyer to buy it).0

CDs are probably music magpie, some DVDs may sell on eBay or car booty for 99p, all the rest probably music magpie again0

Unless time is an issue (ie you need to sell quick) then I'd advise against Music Magpie, they really don't give good prices, possibly anything they offer 30p for is not too bad, but anything they offer more for is worth sticking on Amazon yourself. Chances are if they offer their maximum (£2?) then it will sell quite quickly for 4 or 5 times that on Amazon.
If you list all items on Amazon it can take a while but there are no listing fees and the return can be better. As far as I know that is what Music Magpie do, list on Amazon..0
