in Credit cards
Hi all I currently have 2 main debts on credit cards £3000 on Halifax with 19% apr and minimum payment of around £50, I also have a Nationwide card with £3000 but has a 0% interest until september this year.
I will be able to repay £2000 by the time this 0% runs out but which card would this money be better going to and still paying minimum on the other?
Thanks

on would need to know the apr of the nationwide card once the 0% deal runs out
normal rule of thumb is pay the maximum on the debt with the highest apr although it is also wise to pay just a little more than the minimum payment on the other0 -
I believe its the same apr, I was trying to work out if it is beneficial trying to clear the 0% card first taking advantage of the offer although in the long run it may work out the same, if you know what I mean....0

if the interest rate will be the same then clear the one which is currently charging you interest i.e. halifax as at least you save a bit of interest between now and september0
