RBS Student Royalties Account Overdraft - is it really free?

My son has overdrawn on this account and says it won't cost him anything as it is arranged. I have an overdraft facility for any accidents but it will still cost me if I use it, in interest.
Is there a catch? If so what is it?
I'm worried it is teaching him bad habits too.

My son also had an RBS student account, called Royalties. Rest assured that the overdraft is absolutely free, provided its not exceeded!
If I recall correctly, when he graduated RBS gave him an interest-free loan to repay the outstanding balance. This was a few years ago, but should still be the case.0
