Rated Rubbish.com

I have had the singular misfortune of using Rated People.Com in the past couple of months.

Single woman, so have to pay people to help out with jobs I dont have the time or the necessary skills to complete myself.

Recent got a carpet laid by DJ Carpets of Tonbridge.
This fitter allegedly has 22 yrs experience, and came in at a good price with a very glowy report on Rated.

The man was tardy, clumsy, and slow.

The carpets were poorly cut and fitted. Not stretched propertly, and sagged scarily on most of the stairs in my flat (I have 2.5 sets) carpeted.

He broke both a wardrobe and a chest of draws during the process, to the point that they literally fell to pieces just after he left, so he knew they were broken at the point of completing the job.

He responded to one text highlighting this issue.
He then ignored subsequent emails.

Rated People have ignored my complaints about DJ Carpets as well, even though they invite you to take the issue further if not satisfied. They claim to investigate sharp practice and poor workmanship.

RUBBISH. They apparently collude with it.

The overall cost of the service that I paid for, wound up costing me double after I had paid for the removal & disposal of the furniture DJ Carpets broke, and replaced with like for like.

I am REALLY, REALLY concerned that very vulnerable people, those with disabilities, and older people might become unwitting victims of both DJ Carpets and Rated People, believing that they are getting a good service, which will have 'come back' if less than contractually agreed.
