Kodak Camera

My friend purchased a Kodak camera less then 3 years ago with a three year warranty. The camera developed a fault and so was sent back for repair to Kodak. Kodak contacted the retailer and said that the camera was no longer manufactured. The shop gave my freind a replacement camera that is valued at about £60, however, the original camera was £417, and obviously alot better than the piece of Cr*p they have given her. What can she do, any advice would be greatly appreciated........

It may be worth ringing your local council's trading standards section (though they haven't rung me back after 5 days of waiting)0 -

Might be worth chasing up Consumer Direct (I assume that you spoke to them first and they advised you that they would pass your case to Trading Standards for further advice/call back within 5 days, as is the usual practice if a case isn't straightforward).
I can't speak for all Trading Standards though, just the one I work for, but we always call back within a day or two. It's been known for some referrals from Consumer Direct to not come through, so it is possible that it's slipped through the net - worth chasing up.0 -
Thanks - I've been trying to day but can't get through.0
