Until 4th May Bosch are giving prepaid Visa cards with up to £100 if you buy certain appliances. More details here https://www.boschcashback.co.uk/ - as far as I can see there is nothing stopping you doing this as well as the normal cashback purchase routes.

I bought a BOSCH fridge freezer from John Lewis online for £450, it had an offer on it where you can get £50 back from BOSCH.
The freezer arrived and that day (14/March/2012)I went to the BOSCH website, filled in the form to claim the cashback and attached a copy of my receipt to it as a PDF as requested.
A few days later (21/MARCH/2012) I get an e-mail from BOSCH saying that the receipt I gave them doesn't correspond to the model of the fridge freezer I put down on the claim form. See e-mail below:
'Thank you for your recent application form concerning the Bosch Cashback promotion. Unfortunately we are unable to process your application, as the receipt you supplied does not correspond with the model stated on your application.
Please forward to us a copy of the correct receipt, making sure to include your reference number:
support@boschcashback.co.uk
Or post to us at the following address:

As soon as we receive your proof of purchase we will process the claim.
Yours sincerely
Bosch Home Appliances'
I kept a copy of the claim form and receipt so I double checked, and the model on both matches exactly, I e-mailed them back
(23/MARCH/2012) the copy of the receipt and a copy of the form I filled in on their website showing they both matched.
See e-mail below:
'You've e-mailed me saying the receipt I've sent you to claim my cashback doesn't correspond to the claim I've submitted. I've saved a copy of the receipt and the claim confirmation andthey both show clearly that It's for a Bosch Exxcel KGH34X45GB.It is the only receipt I've got and is valid for the fridge freezer I've bought.I've attached the receipt and a copy of the confirmation to this e-mail showing that they both match.'
I get the feeling that they don't want to pay out and are looking for ways of delaying or not paying this cashback. if they do sort it I'll update this thread but thought I'd list my experience so far just in case anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
Sorry meant to up date this a while ago...
Bosch paid the cashback (as a prepaid card as expected). They didn't explain properly but the receipt they wanted is in a link on the John Lewis website in the my account section, it's the VAT reeipt they want not just the confirmation receipt you see on your John Lewis account.
Sorted in the end but poor explaination form Bosch, they could've said 'no we need the VAT receipt' instead of saying the receipt wasn't valid for the item I'd bought.
Also the fridge has broken already, Bosch has come out and replaced the circuit board and fan, all is working fine now. Fingers crossed will last for a long time.0 -
Same thing happened to us. Bought a Bosch fridge freezer from Jade Appliances of Warwick (excellent price and service btw). Submitted the claim with copy of the email receipt but it was rejected for same reason as earlier poster.
Model reference on email and cashback form are identical and I too assumed this was a delaying tactic to knock back any claim until the offer has closed. Expected better of Bosch than the Ryanair school of customer service.0 -
Mine went through fine without any problems - card has arrived and is ready for spending!
I would imagine with the volumes of things they sell one or two mistakes in the validation isn't unexpected.Adventure before Dementia!0 -
We went looking for an unplannede replacement dishwasher on the evening before Good Friday. Ended up going via Dixons, as they were the only people who could supply or deliver that weekend. When asked about the Cashback, I was informed after the machine had been delivered, that it wasn't eligible, and to buy it from Currys for £120 more, although we had carefully read the Bosch offer on their website, and couldn't see why not.
after four attempts to fob us off by not issuing a valid receipt (is that legal?), or claiming that my spam checker had nobbled it, I finally got a receipt for the correct machine, albeit dated differently to the order. I had to threaten to report them to my credit card provider to get it though.
Carefully checked all the details, including the FD number on the machine, and applied to Bosch.
Bosch emailed me the next morning to say that my claim had been accepted, and would notify me when the card was going to be dispatched. Fingers crossed0 -
Yes mistakes happen but I hoped a business like Bosch would correct them. We wrote to the Cashback fulfilment address with a copy of our email receipt (same receipt they'd declined in the online application); to Bosch Customer Services and phoned the retailer.
No reply from Customer Services. Retailer was very helpful and tried to phone Cashback on our behalf but they wouldn't speak to the retailer as they weren't the customer! A standard email arrived from fulfilment: no explanation just a pro-forma email saying our claim had been accepted - but weeks later still no Card has arrived.
I wonder how much more time and expense it's worth to get £50. Won't be buying any more from Bosch.0 -
After another phone call to the fulfilment number, they just said it will arrive by June and a couple of days later there it was in the post. No apology or explanation. I wonder if it would have come if we hadn't persisted. Why's everything such a hassle these days?0

I bought my Bosch appliances in October and claimed straight away - it certainly took a while for the card to come through but it did arrive!
I have a dishwasher and washing machine - and the washing machine in particular is amazing0 -

Agree, just got this
"Thank you for your recent application concerning the Bosch Winning Line promotion. Unfortunately we are unable to process your application, as the offer is not open to purchases made after 30th November 2012, as stated in our terms and conditions."
"This is an automated message. Please do not respond to this email"
I've not mastered time travel, so how can they reject the claim when today is 23 August (purchase made 21 August) and the offer is until 30 November?0 -
I have had no joy what so ever getting my cash back. I emailed the email confirmation and receipt from John Lewis to Bosch. When I log into the Bosch web site ite says " pending documents don't show date of purchase". They quiet clearly do. I have been trying to call Bosch for 2 weeks, left messages but not reply. I just feel compelled to return my tumble drier (£600) to John Lewis for false advertising.0

I too have been having serious problems with Bosch. In October 2013 I purchased a top of the range dishwasher (£600.00) which should of come with £100.00 cashback. I submitted my receipt via their website and heard nothing for weeks. When I checked what was happening I found a message which stated that they could not read the model number of my dishwasher on the receipt which I submitted. I checked my receipt again and this clearly showed the model which I purchased.
I wrote back to them and this time included a copy of my delivery receipt highlighting my model number. I then waited for a reply and some two weeks later received an E-Mail telling me they have agreed the cashback but for an amount of £50.00 and not the £100.00 which my model should be . I checked via their casback website and looked up my claim number. It was then that I found someone at BOSCH had changed my model number on my claim to a cheaper dishwasher model number. This happened to be a £50.00 cashback
model.
I have sent numerous E-Mails and made so many phone calls and I just keep being fobbed off. I managed to speak to a manager called Megan who informed me a mistake had been made and they will rectify it by sending me the other £50.00. This has not happened and every time I ring I am being fobbed off telling me the manager is on another line holding a conference call.
After reading the above posts it appears I am not alone is there some kind of fraud going on. Either that or someone at Bosch is either taking the money or this is a corporate lie in getting innocent members of the public to purchase their goods on false pretences.
I for one am not letting this go, Bosch you now have a fight on your hands.0
