New in the US: Is there an impact if I close my first credit card after a month

Hi!
I am new to the US and just opened a secured credit card account at CapitalOne to start building my credit score, but I had an offer for a better one by Bankofamerica.
As I already have a checking account at BoA, I think it would be easier for me to get their credit card too.
As my credit score is virgin for now, would that have an impact if I close my CapitalOne card?
Or can I improve my credit score faster by using 2 credit cards?
Thanks!

You might want to post on a US website, not a UK one ...0
