I am buying the HD-DVD player for my 360 on friday and have decided to start from fresh in regards to my current home cinema setup. I have a Sony Home Cinema 5.1 DVD player which does NOT have an optical input, so i cant really use it for my xbox 360. And also that i will be using the 360 HD-DVD player for playing my dvds in future so the whole system is redundant. So my queries are.
- What speaker set would you suggest to use for my 360 & 360 HD DVD drive
- Can i use this speaker set for my TV (Toshiba HD 32")
- I know play.com are doing an offer on the exclusive XB360 Pioneer Speaker system for £169.99 is this a good one, or is there a better(cheaper) option!
Any advice would be appreciated!!
Thanks

I would go for a seperates system I have a creative inspire digital system I use upstairs but the cables are too short to realy be usefull I hve a full seperates system downstairs and It is miles better with the 360 cionnected to that. yes it cost a small fortune but I can upgrade parts of it rather than replaceing the whole lot. I have found the connectivity options with the all in one kits to be very limited.
As for will your tv connect it all depends on what outputs you have on the TV most newer TV's have at least stereo phono out which will give you a prologic surround if you have any other TV source like sky then some of the boxes have digital outputs on them.0 -
do you have any links for the stuff i need please... im not exactly upto date with the tech! My TV is a new high def one so im guessing it does have all those ports needed. So how much should i be looking at for a seperatesw system?0

Hi,

I bought the following 2 months ago and is very powerrful and stunning quality, each speaker fully adjustable sound. It matches the old Xbox and was made'for' Microsoft to go with it. It supports 2 optical (any source) and 1 composite(any source). I have TV, Satelite, Xbox 360 Computer all plugged in no probs. The bass and sub are very very loud but can be turned down!
