I transferred my ISA to Halifax in December and the rate was 2.6%.

I transfered my Direct Reward ISA to the Online Saver on Friday (2.6%), showed up on online banking ok. Today its showing as an Online Variable ISA with a rate of 2.4% what's going on ? Is this temporary ? Some communication from Halifax would be nice.

SORTED - after yet another phone call (isn't it supposed to online banking ?) For some reason they messed up. If you converted to the ISA Saver Online on Friday, double check what rate you're getting now.

    Interesting ...
Since no such product existed at Halifax either last week OR this week! :(

    Last week :
ISA Saver Online 2.6%, ISA Saver Variable (Branch/phone) 2.4%

    This week :
ISA Saver Online 3.0%, ISA Saver Variable (Branch/phone) 2.75%

Those computer systems at Halifax must be a real mess! :(

I wonder how many people leave their money at the end of the term earning silly low rates of interest instead of transferring or redesignating.

I suppose at least Halifax/Lloyds are supposed to write out and tell you at the end, but I'd still diarise the dates and switch.

All sorted. Phoned them up and asked them to change me to the 3% rate. Took 10 minutes :)

Every year, you see people moaning on here at the start of the new tax year about getting £50 interest instead of £300 interest or something because they didn't bother to check.

Then there'll be those who don't visit this forum...so quite a lot. The banks must save millions from these people each year so no wonder they're all at the 1 year bonus offers.

Is this a new rule? I hope so. Think I've only ever gotten a reminder for a savings rate drop once. That was from the Post office for one of their savings products, which I was quite surprised about.

I have all my dates in a spreadsheet but it'd be good for those who don't.

Does anyone know if the .2% bonus for rewards customers would be paid if I redsignated now or do I have to wait the full year?

I was under the impression you had to wait the full year to get the bonus.

My halifax ISA comes to an end on 30th March so will wait until then to switch I think.
