Will a new phone locked to T Mobile accept an Orange Sim Card as they seem to be linked.

Please can anyone help?
I am tryig to follow instructions to find IMEI code which says hash o6 hash to find.
I have put in the new sim card that does not have credit, is that why no code is appearing.
Do I have to put in my old card with credit on to get code and what do I press.

Put in new sim and shows sim card invalid so entered as above and message was Emergency calls only.

If it is a new phone, the imei number will be on the box it came in, or take back and remove the battery, imei number will be on the inside of the phone. Or the number is (Star Hash 0 6 Hash)

No, the orange sim will not worked in a locked t-mobile phone unless you get it unlocked.

To unlock it, you will need to get an unlock code from somewhere, t-mobile may provide you with one, for a fee of course.

There are plenty of sites that offer this service as well, for a fee again.

Just in case you're not sure you need to get one that is for your phone. Take a look either on Ebay, talk to T-mob (who will charge you for it) or google places to see if anywhere does them free.
