I recently sold a brand new sealed PS3 game on ebay, today the buyer has contacted me saying they have received the game but the disc is missing.
What can I do?? I don't believe that the game was missing.

Before you sold the game could you hear it wobble (for want of a better word) inside the case?In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

Do you mean shake it so I could hear the game?
If so no it didn't even cross my mind to do so.0 -

That's what I meant! It's not unheard of for a disk to be missing but it's extremely rare.
If the game was factory sealed (cellophane folded neatly over at each end rather than a shrinkwrap which is two bits of cellophane heat sealed around the edges, which might suggest a return and refurb at some point by the distributor which might increase the chance of a missing disk) I'd say it's doubtful.
It's a tricky one really as how do you prove otherwise? In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
It was factory sealed as you described above, I just don't no what to do??
I have tried 5 times now to get help from ebay online chat, but each time they say they will look at my account & then about 10 minutes later it says chat ended.0 -
Well if the buyer opens an eBay case and escalates it eBay may grant a no fault refund but it's a gamble. Maybe ask the buyer if anyone else might have opened the game to use the disk and if they insist it was missing and you refund, me personally I'd ask for the case to be posted back (at my cost) so if they are fibbing at least they don't get the complete game for free.
Unfortunately you are on to a loser unless you take the gamble on the eBay case.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Thanks for the help, just emailed the buyer stating that i'm a little confused as to how the game was missing from a factory sealed case & that I will be seeking help from ebay as to what to do.
So now i'll just have to wait & see what they reply with.0 -
Well they replied asking me to go to the shop I purchased the game from, to see if they can do anything.
I cant see the shop believing that the factory sealed game that they sold to me is empty. :mad:0 -
It is possible - years ago I had a missing Gameboy from a factory sealed box - just took it back to the shop and they replaced it.0
