Which programmes to uninstall

Computer is running slow and thought I should uninstall some programmes. I think the last time I did this I lost everything off the hard drive. List of programmes below. Thanking in advance for any help offered.

I'd start with the ones that you use least and keep going until you solve the problem. You can always put them back again.

I didnt want to install something that I need - I uninstalled the hard drive once (named elementis) because we hadnt used it for ages and we lost everything so reluctant to do that again.

Lifeforms

Trouble is. I can give you a list of what to uninstall based on my own computer/use.

Go through that list, see which ones you actually use, program wise. Some are components that you may use unknowingly, and unless you are desperate for space on your HDD, then uninstalling wont really help. (Unless they happen to be running at the same time, that's different.)

Wouldn't touch any of the microsoft installed components at all. Better safe than sorry. Any I've not noted, YOU need to decide if you use them or not.
Go through start ups and clean out the inside of teh computer would probably give you a faster start up/computer.

thanks for that lifeforms - will go through and delete my extra browsers etc - I was looking at deleting the things which you said dont delete - not very up on computers.

if it's running slow, follow the speed up your pc sticky at the top of the forum. It's not necessarily about uninstalling stuff, it's more about not having it running at startup and hogging your system resources. Start following the sticky and use this thread to post logs/ask for specific advice/etc.
