Free Tesco Bag for Life - Extra Green Points! - Valid till 08/04/07

Hello Everyone. Searched and no one seems to have put a thread about this yet.

This is a Green Freebie, but I figured it have a better home in this forum.


Tesco is doing a massive Green Drive at the moment, and at the moment you can get a Tesco Bag for Life absolutely free! No catches.

Well its a saving of only 10p, but hey you save money and help protect the environment from being destoryed by more plastic bags

I've already gotten myself 7 of these wonder bags, 5 from the same Tesco on different days, and 2 from other Tesco stores.

Offer is valid till the 08/04/2007.


Also till the 08/04/2007 Tesco is giving two Green Clubcard Points instend of 1, every time you re-use any bag instead of using a new one to pack your shopping.

Note: In my local Tesco they refuse to give points unless you completely fill a bag... Just a heads up. I don't think this is the case at other Tesco stores.

i saw a promotion desk near the entrance at my local tesco extra about the double green clubcard thing, but there is nobody there to give away free bags and no sign anywhere that we can just grab one and checkout will show it is free. i always recycle plastic bags, but when checkout and checked the receipt, it did not show there is double clubcard points for the plastic bags i used on that trip.

If you read carefully on your receipt, it should say that the double pints will be added to your statement in May. SO they will not show up on your receipt.
I will look out for the free bags as I always use carriers and other bags that I can reuse. Thanks for this as I need a few more

Tonight in my local store they had no idea how to get one or have heared anything about it......annoyingly!!

Hi Ive been given 2 of these bags now, once at the checkout and once at the front of store in 2 different tescos

Other stores, none to be seen anywhere

How it works is they give you a Bag and a voucher to give at the checkout. They scan it, you get it for free.

Now of course I've only seen this being done at some Tesco stores.

Some haven't started the promotion yet.

Some may have already done it. I guess Tesco Extra stores would be our best bet to find the deal at this moment in time.

just received tesco clubcard statement today, among all the extra points voucher, there is one for free bag for life, so all clubcard holder should at least receive one bag.

I believe we all get different vouchers. I didn't get a bag for life one with mine.
