I am currently with EON in 2008 i had a debt with them for both utilities i asked for prepayment meters to be fitted so i could clear my debt and manage my bills.



I cleared both of these debts 2 years ago and have since carried on using the meters, i recently requested from them if both could be removed, so that we can pay monthly instalments towards our annual bills, they have now come back to us and saying they will not remove the meters ever because we had a debt back in 2008, please could you tell me where i stand regarding this matter.

That's easy enough.. Switch to another provider who you have never had a debt with. Then apply to remove them then if EON was at the top of the list as the cheapest supplier then just switch back. The new supplier might ask for around £50 to change each of the meters and/or they might ask for a deposit which you will get back either when you switch or after 12 months of paying on time.
