Do they use met recovery vehicles?

My experience is with Rota garages.

It may well have been photographed then.

A problem you may face is who is responsible for the damage. The met or the recovery operator.

I see, I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

Cracked door mirror, broken brakelight, large chip in the windscreen, all signs of uninsured drivers without any licence?
    Dirty car as well?

Indicative of someone who doesn't take care of things and either doesn't or can't pay to have broken items rectified.

Yeah, I'd say such a person would have a lower possibility of having paid for insurance.

I'm all for the zero tolerance approach. I'd imagine those commiting minor offences such as these are more likely to be the ones driving around without insurance, tax, driving licence etc.
Well I personally hope this gets put to the test when you commit the most minor of offences and have your vehicle seized.

Bit like having a slightly older car, or an inferior rather than a prestige model?

Or a motorbike where one of the L plates has gone missing?

What minor offences allow the police to seize a vehicle?

Having an L plate fall off (or be stolen), apparently.

I'm glad I didn't meet this particular copper back in my pushbike days. The one I met was quite sympathetic about my need to get home at 11PM having had my bikelights stolen outside a newsagent. Told me to ride on the pavement all the way home.
