Not sure where this should go but i have searched for the complaint letter success thread to no avail...
Basically, i used an arriva bus, or was going to before it zoomed past me when i made a clear signal to the driver. The buses are often not very clean so i complained, and also about this issue. I have complained before about them, as many services went past me again, as i do not live in a very busy area and the stop near me isnt used often so maybe some drivers assume it isn't there. I wrote them this complaint letter and on there site they said they would get back to me within 10 days. Well they didn't. So i waited 10 working days. Still nothing. so far i have waited 11 working days (15 days total) and to no avail. The public services near me arent frequent enough as it is and seem to be going up the swanny, trying to do something about it, although a few people wont change much i know. You can but try!
Any idea's, questions, answers or similar experiences with complaint letters or anything? I dont really want to ring them as it will push my mums phone bill up as its an 0870 number. Im only 16, 17 soon and the sooner i get driving the better! But surely as a public transport service, hired and paid by the local council to me, they should be doing all they can to deter people from using there cars and push down pollution etc. All it has done to many people near me is make them desperate to satrt driving!
Anyway... any idea's etc like i said above? Sorry for the long post!
Pete
(TIA, Any help received will be greated with a thankyou!)

i would try finding there head office address and writing to them direct (by post) explaining how you have written to them via there website and got no response, and that you would really like for someone to contact you about this matter,. i;d point out that at the end of the day they are losing money by not picking you up!!!
Finish the letter off with something like "I look forward to your prompt response"
best of luck,

Is there any way you can go to the depot and complain in person? I find talking to a real live human being can sometimes help.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
here is the link to various office addresses. i'd start with the one that covers yours, then if need be move on to the head office, sending a copy of any letter to your local office

I keep plugging this website but hey why not its great but try this,
http://www.saynoto0870.co.uk/companysearch.php
it doesn't give a free alternative for arriva but it does give local alternatives that should cut the cost a little! I used to live in a village when I was 15/16 and I know how frustrating it is esp coz you've normally waited so long in the first place!!0 -

Ironically, its on a bus route... only served by arriva... and arriva are the only company or serve the bus stop near me!
And im only nearly 17, dont think they'd find me too intimidating!
Thanks anyway!0 -
every hour for this particular service...!
Thankyou 160 and Mel!
Bloody Annoying... anything i could try threatening them with you think?
I don't personally think that 2 free SINGLE journey vouchers are enough for losing someone a potential job. I wouldn't complain if it had broken down, fallen over and squashed an old granny, been caught in traffic etc.
Just the fact it was there and playing catch-up to its schedule! Missing out passengers, and it only has 1 place in milton keynes where it picks people up from really, possibly 2. A few in dunstable. so its missed everyone!0 -
I can't remember anything that would help, if it had been later than 5mins you could contact some sort of regulatory board but I don't know what to do in you case.. other than complain every time it happens and get everyone else to aswell.
Someone on our bus routes got pneumonia waiting for our bus! They made the local paper you could try that!!0 -
Send me some surgical instuments... i could say i ran after the bus and lost a leg under one its wheels! :rotfl:0

Oh! You can't say that to an ex-bus driver!!0

Your an ex-bus driver?
Why didn't you say so, i need anger management... :rotfl:
Only joking!0
