Have Taken The Plunge

I have recently taken the plunge and have sent off PPI Reclaim Forms to the following after originally considering doing it via a PPI Reclaim company:

Barclaycard Goldfish
Capital One (x 2)
MBNA (x2)
American Express

Keeping my fingers crossed that some good will come from it but am prepared to take to Ombudsman if needed. Watch this space!

Had some good news today. MBNA have upheld my PPI reclaim and I will be getting a cheque for the sum of £1,105.29 within the next 28 days.

One down, 5 to go, although I am having particular trouble with Barclaycard who saw fit to 'suspend' my credit card after they received my letter requesting T&Cs and from which they responded saying that they could not provide me with a copy of the Credit Agreement that was signed when the card was applied for. I am having a real battle getting a reason off them for doing this and sent them a letter of complaint last week. They have come to the conclusion that all of a sudden I am of "increased risk of not repaying the debt" - amazing that they can reach that decision based on me merely asking for a copy of the Credit Agreement lol!

Anyway, I'm happy so far, especially at the speed in which MBNA responded. I just hope the others go as smoothly :j:j:j
